About Lux & Bloom

Lux & Bloom is an independent design label offering distinctive and refreshingly different fabrics and wallpapers.

The hand drawn botanical patterns fill your home with colour, glamour and personality.

All Lux & Bloom designs start life as hand painted illustrations then developed into repeat patterns with as little technical tampering as possible. This is very important to the brand as it maintains a unique personal quality.
The luxury fabrics are printed in the UK, the wallpapers are eco-friendly and Lux & Bloom bespoke accessories are made locally in the South West.

Lux & Bloom was founded by Louise Rushford in 2015 and is based in Bath.

About Louise

Louise studied Fine Art/Sculpture then contemporary dance in London at the prestigious Laban Dance School followed by a period as a professional dancer. This history in art and choreography has shaped the unique signature style of Lux & Bloom.

‘’I have great passion and pride in the extraordinary independent British brand I have created. I am originally from Glasgow and feel very connected to the city’s strong artistic heritage. Rennie Mackintosh remains a major influence and developing his heritage of looking to the natural world for inspiration is an important factor for my brand.

I have always been attracted to dramatic themes, bold colour contrasts and a dash of the Gothic whether in art, dance or any other art form. All of these ingredients go into the individual designs I love to create. Customers tell me that our accessories bring a bit of glamour and drama into their homes and that’s exciting.’’

‘’My aim for Lux & Bloom is to focus on beautiful pieces made to last. It has never been so important to have a business without a ‘throw away’ attitude and what’s not to like about high quality products made to love and last for a life time?’’
